Nigeria's Illegal Abduction And Detention Of Nnamdi Kanu, The Leader Of IPOB, Must End! From the hearts of all of Biafraland, we, the family members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, along with all people of Biafra, raise our voices to the world, exposing the egregious and unlawful actions perpetrated against our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, by the Nigerian government and its complicit authorities.

Their tyrannical grip tightens around our brother, a testament to their disdain for international law, human rights, and the very principles of justice. Let the world bear witness: Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested through any legitimate legal process.

Instead, he was subjected to a barbaric and illegal extraordinary rendition from Kenya, a sovereign nation whose territorial integrity was brazenly violated by Nigerian agents.

This act of state-sponsored kidnapping was unequivocally condemned by the Nigerian Court of Appeal itself, which rightly declared it a "clear and egregious violation of international law" and Nigerian statutes, demanding his immediate release.

Yet, the Nigerian government, in its characteristic defiance of the rule of law, has chosen to ignore its own judiciary's pronouncements. The United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention has echoed our cries, stating unequivocally that Kanu's detention is illegal, unlawful, and unconstitutional. They have affirmed that our leader was subjected to enforced disappearance, stripped of legal protection, and held in violation of multiple fundamental human rights enshrined in international covenants.

The world must recognise this for what it is: a gross abuse of power and a deliberate assault on the dignity of a man and the aspirations of a people.  We, the Biafra people, through IPOB, are not terrorists.<!> We are a people yearning for our inherent right to self-determination, enshrined in international law, including the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights.

Our struggle for freedom and a referendum is a legitimate exercise of our collective will, yet the Nigerian government has responded with brutal oppression, labelling us terrorists and subjecting our leader to inhumane treatment. The continued incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not just an attack on one man; it is an assault on the fundamental principles of justice, democracy, and the right of a people to determine their own destiny.

We call upon the international community, world leaders, human rights organisations, and all people of conscience to hold Nigeria accountable for its criminal actions. They have kidnapped our leader, defied their own courts, and ignored the pronouncements of international bodies. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

His continued detention is a stain on the conscience of the world and a dangerous precedent that emboldens authoritarian regimes to trample upon the rights of individuals and the sovereignty of nations. The world must act now to end this injustice and stand in solidarity with the Biafra people in our pursuit of freedom and self-determination. Let our cry for justice resonate across the globe until Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is free and the Nigerian government is held accountable for its illegal and oppressive actions.
